Each 5ml of NESCOF-D contains Dextromethorphan 10mg + CPM 2mg + Phenylephrine 5mg
NESCOF-D SYRUP is a dry cough syrup with the combination of Chlorpheniramine, Dextromethorphan and Phenylephrine. Chlorpheniramine is an Antihistamine that reduces allergic reactions and Dextromethorphan is an Antitussive which suppresses intensity and frequency of coughing. Phenylephrine is nasal decongestant which reduces nasal decongestion and provides relief from dry cough symptoms.
NESCOF-D SYRUP is used to relieve cough due to throat or bronchial irritation, sneezing and running nose caused by cold, dry cough, allergic cough, post-operative cough, smokers cough and night-time cough.
Take NESCOF-D SYRUP as advised by your physician. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Usually NESCOF-D is well tolerated however some individuals may experience side effects such as sedation, somnolence, disturbance in attention, abnormal coordination, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, abdominal discomfort, fatigue. Most of these side effects subsides over a period of time however you can approach physician in case of any concern.
NESCOF-D SYRUP is generally not recommended for use in pregnancy. Contact your doctor before taking.
NESCOF-D SYRUP is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may excrete through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before taking.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision and psychomotor impairment after taking NESCOF-D SYRUP.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking NESCOF-D SYRUP as it may lead to unwanted effects.
NESCOF-D SYRUP should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Contact your doctor before taking.
NESCOF-D SYRUP should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Contact your doctor before taking.
Do not take NESCOF-D SYRUP if you are allergic to Chlorpheniramine, Dextromethorphan, Phenylephrine or to other ingredients of this medicine.
NESCOF-D SYRUP is not recommended for use in patients with or at risk of developing, respiratory failure (Ex. chronic obstructive airways disease or pneumonia or an exacerbation of asthma) and should be used with caution in patients with asthma, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, emphysema. NESCOF-D SYRUP should be used with caution in patients with severe heart diseases and severe hypertension. Contact your doctor before taking.

NESCOF-D SYRUP should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above). Contact your doctor before taking.
If you or anyone else accidentally took too much of this medicine, consult your doctor immediately. Symptoms of overdosage are drowsiness, lethargy, nystagmus, ataxia, depression, nausea, vomiting and hyperactivity, excitation, mental confusion, tremors, psychosis, hallucinations, high fever and convulsions, restlessness, nervousness and irritability, stupor, dystonia and respiratory depression.
